Workshop • Crochet Chunky Pencil

This workshop is a guided session, led by the fabulous Skylar from LoveFromSkai.

A cosy, collaborative workshop with just 8 seats available. There'll be 1:1 support available should you need it.

In this guided session, you'll be introduced to Chunky Crochet (also known as Amigurumi) - you'll learn the basics, common slip-ups, and over the course of our session you'll create your very own Pedro The Pencil!

After the session, you'll get to take Pedro home in an exclusive 'Creative Garden' tote bag!

This workshop is completely beginner friendly, and no previous experience is needed to take part. An experienced tutor will be on hand throughout the session to guide you step-by-step and offer support with any one-to-one questions or queries you may have along the way.

This session is a 4 hour slot from 12pm to 4pm, on Sunday 31st May 2026.

It cannot be amended, please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the beginning of the workshop, to ensure that you're comfortably seated and ready to have fun!

This workshop is an in-person event, hosted in The Creative Garden, Corn Exchange, Leeds. (LS1 7BR).

Arriving by train?

1. Leave Leeds Train Station through the main entrance.
2. Head right, and walk alongside the Leeds Station Taxi Rank.
3. As the road bends left onto Boar Lane, you'll walk past Trinity Car Park.
4. As you approach the traffic lights on Boar Lane, turn right.
5. Keep walking straight for about 5-10 minutes.
6. At the next traffic lights (near McDonald's) continue going straight.
7. Continue forwards until you reach a large building with a domed roof and arches (you won't miss it!)
   

Arriving by car?

We recommend using the 'Crown Street Car Park' as it's just outside the Corn Exchange.

Please note: You must purchase a car parking ticket within 10 minutes of entry, to avoid a fine.

We recommend using 'Park Bunny' to buy your parking ticket via the app (it's cheaper, and easier).

Inside the Corn Exchange
When entering through the main entrance, you'll find us on the right side, just opposite the café. (Lookout for our grassy garden!)

Feel free to bring along your own snacks, nibbles, and drinks to enjoy during the Creative Garden session.

Please be mindful that we'll be working with wool throughout the workshop, so we kindly ask everyone to avoid messy or greasy foods to help keep hands and materials clean.

Please note that hot food is not permitted during the session.

• Unfortunately children under the age of 12 are not permitted inside the Garden.
• 12—16 year olds must have a full paying adult with them.
• No hot food to be consumed in the Garden.
• Please do not play loud music out loud, use headphones at all times.
• Please leave a correct mobile number/email at time of booking, should we need to contact you.
• Please respect other Gardners at all times, if repeatedly asked to do this, then you may be asked to leave without a refund.
